Our Daily Bread

If God has already promised to give us enough food to sustain life and enough covering to protect life, then why do I have to pray for it? If my heavenly Father already knows what I need and has promised to provide for me, then why do I have to waste my breath asking for it? Why does Jesus tell us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread?”
